Greetings of peace in our Lord Jesus Christ!

Welcome to Saint Joseph School. Let us all make the new school year a really productive and a meaningful one. One that will inspire us to Explore, Expand, Excel…” We do so having in mind that our formation here in school is meant to prepare us in the mission that Jesus has entrusted to us. Our world is changing so fast and we need to adapt to the times without sacrificing our faith and moral values. This is where the role of evangelization comes in. Our school will of its best to meet this expectation.

Dear St. Joseph’s School Families, Friends and Students,

As we begin our 143 year of a Catholic tradition of excellence to the youth of the Big Island of Hawaii, our 2011-2012 school theme is Explore, Expand, and Excel… I have a Dream (Martin Luther King).  Yes, it is through a rigorous 21^st century learning environment that you will be able to excel and fulfill your dreams.  Here at St. Joseph School, we have a legacy of making our dreams come true. 

There are many exciting happenings at St. Joseph’s School in Hilo, Hawaii.  We are in the midst of a comprehensive accreditation process which is intense and involved.   Our dedicated faculty and staff (especially those in the Pre-School led by Auntie Marie) continue to collaborate to work through the accreditation process.  This process encompasses all the facets and phases of our School and will culminate in a review visit in March, 2012.  We are looking to renew our Triple Crown Accreditation by passing public, private, and religious assessments with high marks.

Thank you for valuing St. Joseph’s School for its faith- based education.  Thank you, Pre-School, Elementary, and High School Parents and Grandparents, for the many sacrifices you make to send your children here.  Peace and Best Wishes to you in this new school year.
