2009-2010 TUITION SCHEDULE & PAYMENT POLICY


PRESCHOOL**(8:00 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.)   $5,075.00

GRADES K-6                                $5,825.00

GRADES 7-8                                $7,125.00

GRADES 9-12***                            $7,525.00



*PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE:

(1)    One Payment Plan by July 2, 2009.  Tuition Refund Plan optional.

(2)    Two Payment Plan – ½ of tuition by July 2, 2009; ½ on November 1, 2009.  3.3% Tuition Refund Plan (TRP) charge per student added when choosing this plan.  TRP payment due July 2, 2009.

(3)    Monthly Payment Plan – Payable in equal installments.  Payments start on June 1, 2009.  Easy payment plan through the FACTS payment program – 3.3% Tuition Refund (TRP) charge per student added when choosing the monthly FACTS plan.  TRP payments due with first installment.  All payers on the monthly plan must enroll in the FACTS tuition payment program.


** EXTENDED DAY PRESCHOOL
Additional $1,000 per year.  Limited space available to children ages 3-5.


***Books for grades 9-12 not included in tuition rate.


New international students:  Additional $1,000 ESL fee is due upon registration.


Frequently Asked Questions

•    What are the implications of maintaining the same tuition rate?
o    SJS is responding to the economic crisis that is affecting our families.
o    Faculty and staff members are committed to a 0% salary increase.
o    Certain line items will increase expenses thereby calling for the re-configuration of some positions and the cut or elimination of costs.
o    Additional funding sources will be needed, e.g. (1) the addition of a major springtime fundraiser and (2) additional development and grant income.

•    Is the Tuition Refund Plan mandatory?
o    Yes, for those choosing to pay in two installments or monthly installments. [Note: Rate will remain 3.3% for the coming year.]
o    It is optional for families that pay in one installment (with the understanding that there will be no refund should the student have to withdraw from SJS for  any reason).

•    Is tuition assistance available?
o      Yes, packets can be picked up at the business office beginning January 16, 2009. 
o    Deadline for returning completed packets to the SJS business office:  by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 25, 2009.


Tuition Assistance Applications – Due 3/25/2009

Applications packets for tuition assistance through the Augustine Educational Foundation, Saint Joseph School, Saint Joseph Parish and the work study program are presently available at the business office. 
•    Any family who wishes to be considered for financial aid and/or sibling discounts must complete an application form and submit it to the business office by March 25, 2009. 
•    Families receiving assistance this current year must reapply for next year.  
•    Families with multiple children in the school are required to complete only one packet. 

The Business Office staff is available to assist any parent/guardian in completing the application form.   Kathy Masulit and Jeri Spain can be reached at 935-4936 ext. 232.  They strongly encourage parents/guardians to fill out and submit their applications with documents before spring break begins on March 20th in case there is missing information or documentation.
